Change Clothes

I made a dress up game:

Click the image to see. It’s nothing too fancy, just your basic dress up game made in flash. It was something that was lost within the depths of my hard drive until recently. The music is a 9th wonder beat, I forget which one. This is part of my ongoing campaign to produce more Flash stuff…

I Make Motion Comics!

Here’s a short motion comic I did for a client back in September. I didn’t draw any of the artwork, the client provided me with finished comic pages and I had to cut them up and animate/code them in flash.

It wouldn’t seem like it, but making motion comics from existing comic pages is almost just as labor intensive as doing traditional animation. Especially when you have to photoshop out the word-balloons and redo the artwork underneath. It really was a learning experience especially figuring out how to format some of the smaller panels to the rectangular screen size. I think it turned out pretty good considering it’s my first time ever doing one…

Stuff

I just finished a ridiculous cartoon called Magical Anus Gnomes:

It was really more of an experiment with doing lip sync with recycled mouth shapes…yeah, that’s what I’ll tell people.

sonic boom

Doodled this sonic in flash yesterday…

and then gussied it up in Photoshop:

Even though I like the tall Sonic Adventure sonic design, I still think his classic design is the best one; from back in the 90′s when he had an attitude problem or something. I especially liked whenever they translated the classic design to animation:

I really like that part where he’s skipping himself across the water. And when’s the last time you saw sonic’s feet do that figure 8 thing? There’s also that amazing OVA with the terrible voice acting…

I remember there was a time when the dvd of that movie was going for $150. I remember wondering if seeing sonic giving Robonik the middle finger was worth $150?

Rejected

Concept art I did for a potential client’s children’s book. Alas, the design was rejected for being “too cartoony”. Back to the drawing board…

Pixel Tools

I did this in flash using the Pixel Tools plugin. I really like how un-flash looking it is. I’m interested in doing some animations in this style, what do you think?
